locally made fender rack for my Softail springer
« on: March 23, 2009, 07:01:43 PM »

What think people, a bit on the big side but I carry lots of luggage, unfair to post as its not finished, needs polishing, made from 1/2" solid stainless, had no notice about this from me and built/fitted this on Friday afternoon/evening prior to my going to a motorcycle rally in Galway Saturday
5 minute job to remove or fit, will update the thread when its complete

I like it. :2vrolijk_21:

A few hooks or tabs on the sides would give you a place to attach bungee cords (or what ever) to. :)

NICE! I agree about the bungee loops and chrome. Wanna make me one?  I'll need something like it for Lil Sturgis!!  :2vrolijk_21:

When does the group buy start?     hihihihi

Looks it`ll take more than the recommended max 5kg on the MOCO racks, nice job,

just one comment the luggage base rises to highpoint in the centre, would it not have been better to keep this area flat to fit your bags onto?
i guess it tries to follow the line of the fender, but isnt the fender pretty flat across the top?

Could be cool if you could get the finish to match the exposed metal finish on the bike. Just a thought.

Ger Condon the guy who built it was well pleased when I mentioned the response to the post, he's a good chap and lives only a few miles from me, took the bike to Waterford for its first service today, these shots show the fender rack in a better light
