Mix & Match Fullsac baffles?
« on: March 24, 2009, 05:51:05 AM »

Has anyone experimented with different size Fullsac baffles, something like 1.75" in the left and 2" in the right?

If so, what effect did it have in performance?

thanks in advance

I used to do it all the time on my pre-09 Bikes,  Supertrapp and Hooker with tuneable Baffles  recommended Setting the left Muffler for torque and the Right for HP, with the split headpipe 80 Percent of the exhaust went out the right side anyway gave a 2 in 1 effect on performance. On the 09 models with 2 into 1 into 2 there would be little to gain by using different sizes

I have not used different size baffles but am currently running SE Touring Performance mufflers with the Fullsac baffles in them... I tried the set up with the stock fiberglass insulation in both, completely removed, and then put the insulation in the right and removed from the left, which is the best combination for both performance and sound in my opinion.  I am not certain why but with less back pressure in the left muffler the pipes seem to better equalized and the bike just runs better...

Just one guys 2 cents....

I have that over thinking problem too. The dyno says no difference in power. Sometimes I hate that Dyno.

Thanks Steve, I was hoping someone had evidence either way.
