Harborfreight Lifts???
« on: March 27, 2009, 10:00:47 PM »

Anyone know anything about these lifts?  http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=94813
Since they have a store here, I'd save the freight over the other gazillion on the internet.

Mark I have one but I DON't used the wheel chock that it came with.  TOO MICKEY MOUSE.

I fixed my Wheel-Dock to clamp on the lift when it is not in my trailer just ride on and let the wheel dock clamp the wheel.
No need to tie the bike works well.

The lift does make it easy to clean the bike and you find things that would normally go unnoticed.

I think if you look close you can see the lift already flexing in the picture.

I never had any luck with harber freight. You get what you pay for. Everything I purchased I ended up returning. Just my $.02 worth

Yep - I can hear it now the axle- under it's own weight is giving in, and the noise you are about to hear is your 30k plus 15k of extras rolling onto the floor from 36".

Odds are good it will NOT land on the engine guards this time.

Now that's some funny chit right there, Duane.  Looks like that little cheap roller just couldn't hack it.

HANDY LIFT S.A.M. 1000.  Get the good stuff and be done with it.   :2vrolijk_21:

I have a Harbor Freight jack that I have used on 4 different HD's now.  Paid $100. for it in 2000.  So far it still works good.  It is certainly not the quality of a pitbull jackstand, but it has been doing the job for 9 years.
I have bought tools from them and they were junk, so I would say it is hit or miss.

Personally, I buy my lifts and jacks from K&L Supply. This is what my local dealer uses in their service area. High quality & highly expensive,  but worth it..

Some people just can not get past price no mater what the disastorious outcome may be. The old saying you get what you pay for is so true. Run that pretty $35000.00 bike up and down a few times , plastic , steel and paint isn't expensive.  :nixweiss: :2vrolijk_21: :bananarock: :huepfenlol2:

Just got my Handy Sam2 lift. Excellant quality. No worries putting my expensive collection of HD iron on this lift.

I dunno BIGDOG but it seems to me most of us got past "price no matter what the disastorious outcome may be" when we spent $35000.00 on a bike with a motor that may not hold together. :o

Oh well!  I love ridin the beast let's just hope it doesn't blow the theory "ya get what ya pay for"

More money does not always mean more better....MOST of the time just not always.

I can not believe you said that  :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:   Had I said it I'd be ban from the site. My Ultra made me crazy with all the problems I had with it . So I bow to your wisdom that the saying is not always true.  :2vrolijk_21:
