You forgot to add that she can ride the crap out of that fast bike!

I'll never forget that day coming back from Deals Gap when Nancy blew by everybody on Hwy 74.  When we FINALLY caught up to her you pulled up beside her and started shaking your finger at her!

 :)

I'll never forget it either.  That was a BLAST!!!
I also remember when we finally stopped at Jonathans Brian (103Thunder) said to me, damn, you can ride!  At that time I didn't really understand what he meant but it didn't take long for me to get it.

I pull a Time Out camping trailer behind mine.  Pulled it a total of 3700 miles this past summer on a trip up through the Tetons, Yellowstone, Wyoming, Sturgis, then down through Colorado back to Phoenix with absolutely no problems.  Love the camper.  Here is the website.  http://www.timeoutrailers.org if you like to camp check it out.

Hi,

I pull my Alumna (sp) trailor with my 08 CVO Ultra (durracell color).  It is the same trailer I used to pull behind my 02 Goldwing so I have about 7 years on the trailer with the two bikes.  I love having a trrailer.  It makes it so much easier to pack for longer trips. My wife and I generally put everything in the trailer and just use the bike for jackets and such.  The Ultra pulls it just fine.

I went wth the Alumna because it was less expensive and available locally, not because I did a lot of research and thought it better than any other trailer.  It works fine for me and is a great value.

One way to see if you like pulling a trailer would be to put a hitch on your bike and borrow someones trailer for a trip.  I live in Sioux City, IA and would be glad to let you use mine for a week or so.

Luigi,
Which 08SEUC do you have?
While at Bike week in Daytona, I talked with the Bushtech folks, and they had a used trailer there for sale which was custom painted to match the White/Grey 08SEUC which is what I own. It was traded in on a trailer to match an 09 bike. If they still have it, they were asking around $3800.00 for it.
Well equipped.
If you would want to see photo's of it let me know, it is posted on a previous topic here at CVO.

I just had a customer trade in his Goldwing with matching Bushtec on a Harley Ultra.   I'd separate the pair and sell the Bushtec by itself.  You'd still have to paint it to match your bike (its blue now).  I'll post some pics of the Bushtec and you can call Sissy at 940.538.4400 and make her an offer...

Luigi,

As long as you don't overload the trailer or imbalance it (too much front or rear bias), most any of the trailers will do pretty well.  I pulled a Pod for some time- I don't think these are made anymore.  It was just a simple frame with a fiberglass "pod" sitting on top.  Slightly more than a rooftop carrier on wheels, as the really basic trailers are anymore.  It had leaf springs and would bounce alot, but you really didn't notice it behind the bike.  I pulled that one the most with a Wide Glide.  Then we upgraded to an Escapade by California Side Car.  The air ride makes it much smoother traveling.  You notice it less when you go across RR tracks at an angle, than the pod.  I would say that as long as you have an independant suspension, you should be fine.  A solid axle will transmit more to the bike, but it's not unmanageable.  Your wallet will determine more what you get.  If I wanted a simple cargo trailer, any would do the job just fine.  Starting and stopping will cause you the most learning once you start pulling the trailer.

You got the air ride so the dog's in the dog carrier on top would have a better ride. ;D

Have a American Legend with 20,000 miles plus miles on it, you only notice it when you start off and fast stops, only real problem it leaves to much room for shopping FYI

I just bought an American Legend Sport and I shopped all of the competition. The AL Is the best looking for a Harley since it is designed to look like a touring saddlebag. The prices are a little higher than some of the others but I think it's worth it. Bob the owner is great. Tell him Big John sent you and check out his website. I attached a pic from his site.
