Greetings to all, just joined the CVO club!

Hi everyone. I went out and bought me a shiny new '08 SERK Annie in August last year. It was my first HD and I really, absolutely love it  :-*. I'm honored to write my first post on this forum today. I've been breaking her in tenderly and now am at 3k miles. I'm scheduled for some work to tweak her a bit to my own tastes but I don't want to change too much. I'm hopin' I can benefit a bit from all y'all's experience  :oops: and wisdom. Comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Here's what I'm considering gettin' done:
1.   Screamin' Eagle® Pro High Compression Pistons - I'm really on the fence here, not sure if I should have wear and tear concerns considering the warrantee will likely not cover related breakage down the road.
2.   Python (made by Vance & Hines) True Dual Headers with Python Predator Slip-On Mufflers - I like the look and sound and will welcome the relief from the cross-over heat.
3.   Screamin' Eagle® "Heavy Breather" Performance Air Cleaner Kit - Chrome - Simple change, like the look but wonder about how much better it is than the one I already got.
4.   Wild 1 10 inch “Chubby” Ape Hangers - I really like the look and feel of higher bars than the stock ones.
5.   Road King® Detachable King-Size Windshield - Mid-Low Profile - Already got this one, what an improvement over the shorter smoky one that came with the bike. The short one looks good but seems mostly cosmetic. I wear a half-helmet and now my rider is less like sticking my face in a sand/bug blaster.

All of your proposed mods are doable.  Here's $.02.  You'll read here that a true dual is best with head work.  A lot of SERG guys have the HD heavy breather and like it.  Don't really know about the others but I'm sure lots of guys here do....!

Welcome to the site.  All your options are doable.  Personally I would not do the 1st one with the pistons unless the motor was down for some other reason.

Welcome to the board.  There are a lot of us here in Nor Cal.

I'd not go with the high compression pistons or the SE air cleaner.  There are others here certainly more knowledgable than I but based on my personal experience and Calif's summer temps and the heat issues already related, I'd suggest staying away from those high compression pistons......especially if you're looking for reliability.

Instead, for reliability and performance....as well as to help manage the heat issue in the summer months, I'd suggest a high flow air cleaner (K&N or Arlen Ness Big Sucker), a ecm tuner (what ever your tuner recommends and is familar with) and exhaust. 

You'll get other suggestions along the way.  Since you're in San Jose, you might want to talk to Jim (hd-dude on this forum), he has a shop  (Metal Dragon) in San Leandro and does most of the performance work on the CVOs of Nor Cal.
