Question for you guys/gals
« on: April 02, 2009, 06:01:01 AM »

I'm entering my SERG in the Spring Thaw bike show/swap meet this Saturday and the I wanted your opinions on weather to show it with TP on or off. I will have the lowers on.
My thought is to ride there with it on, then remove it for the the show but have it sitting next to the bike. Don't want to detract from the rear end.

Don't ever detract from the rear end!  I think it would look better how you describe, with the TP next to it.  It looks a little banana-shaped with it on at a show.

I like your idea of putting the t. p. next to the bike. What w/shield are you going with?

Agree with the two previous posts. Display the TP separately.

And good luck in the show.
I put mine in the Easyriders show and won second place.
Everyone here said if I had the tour pak hinges installed I would have gotten first.
So if you haven't done that, hint, hint.

i already took 1st place bagger in Jan at music city bike show.
and yes, I have installed those trick TP hinges.
thinkin of facing the tour pak so as to display grey ghost.
still think the lowers are a must for the show.

I say to show it like you ride it, with the tour-pak on.

That's how I did it on my 04 SEEG in a bike show that I entered in 05 and I won 2nd place.  I'd go that way again.  With the tour pack on, it's only going to attrack a touring type mind.  With it off, it's going to attract both.

Well, 2nd Place bagger.
But Guilty was right. If I would have left the TP on, I would have gotten 1st. as so one of the judges said.
I'm happy with 2nd, for now
