Looking for the stock exhaust mod thread
« on: April 08, 2009, 08:34:19 AM »

Hi All,

I'm new to the site and just getting my feet wet 'round here.  After 25 years of riding, I just purchased my first "new" scoot; a 2009 SERG Slvr/Tit.

Still breaking the beast in...   Got another 200 miles or so before she's ready.

In the mean time I'm checking over my options for exhaust modifications. I read somewhere here on this forum site where the stock mufflers baffles were replaced by doing a fairly simple mod.  I can't seem to find that thread again (old age...)  Can someone point me to where that thread is..?

Seems like the best option for now.  I've had Rineheart Duals on old FLHTCUI and my current FLHPI. But due to the open cutouts between the bags and filler panels on the SERG, I think the mufflers will look dwarfed inside the opening...  Sure wish there were more good options out there, although I imagine over time more will appear.

Thanks again for any help.
