Split Decision?
« on: April 08, 2009, 02:16:05 PM »

Took my FXDSE2 in for some warranty work and found the cases leaking  :'( :'(    Was thinking on a cam in the future but since the cases are being split might as well put them in now???

I would like to stay low compression and don't really want to have to do head work just want some more torque. I have read cam threads til I'm so confused as to what cam does what with which I cant decide.

Andrews 32h  SE251??? Advice would be appreciated.

Has Python 2-1, PCIII stock Air cleaner

Thanks

Tim

What crappy timing.  Just got it tuned for one configuration and immediately comes the time to change things.  Sorry for the leaker Tim.  Hope they don't have you down too long.

Hi Don,

Yes, took it in for some piddly Chit and (I guess thankfully) they found the cases starting to leak!!!        Soooooo........lemons to lemonade.............Had an opprotunity to put cams in earlier than expected.

Subject is kinda moot point now as I went with the 32h cams. MOCO/dealer will be doing teardown and all I have to pay for besides cams is a couple hrs dealer time.

I took it in for front fork seal replacement, weak jiffy stand spring, horn sounded like road runner and alarm was only 40-50 decibels.

As you know just had it tuned and was very pleased with results!!!  (Will post Dyno run results this weekend from original tune)  Guess I will be down again to see John sooner than Eureka Springs.
  Thanks
