I have not been much of an over the road rider but am going to start doing more.  I read an article in one of the biker magazines a year or so ago, and there was a great article on what to take on the road as far as an emergency kit to do pretty much whatever you would need.  It was a great article and the writer summed it up by saying that all of the items he listed (which was very extensive, would fit in a ziploc bag and not take up much space at all.  Anyone have any idea about the article or at least have a good list as to what to take?  Thanks.

I remember reading that article, but can't remember where I read it. It had to be American Iron, the AMA magazine, Hog Tales or the Enthusiast.....I know, too many choices, but maybe you can search their websites and find it in the archives.... :nixweiss:

American Iron rings a bell, that was the magazine at least I think.  It was a great article.

The HOG members website has a packing list for a trip.  It's pretty comprehensive.  I don't think I can attach the link; you'll need your password.
