Thank you everbody who contributed in this thread.  I think it's down to Ga., So. Carolina, No. Carolina, Virginia. and West Virginia then over towards Ky, Tenn, Tail of the Dragon area and then back west.

That's all tenative, of course, but that kind of looks like what the route will be.

We'll be in Atlanta on Sat. June 10th and heading to Savannah from there.  Maybe spend the night there in Savannah then head north.

So if anybody wants to post any other photos along this particular tenative route, please do.  But rather than just a photo, please tell us what we're looking at.  Names that may be familuar to you.....we've possibly never heard of before or not since the 7th grade. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  Anyway, just give us a hint of where, what and when.

JC, I hope you haven't finalized the route yet.  I went out today and took some pictures of the area around Peoria, IL and I think you're really gonna be impressed!

If you think this is all the same shot, no it's not, just look at the power lines on the side of the road . . . . They're different in every picture!!!

Of course, there are some curves every now and then.  Heck, we even have our own version of the Tail of the Dragon -- 11 curves in 318 miles!!!!

I hope you can make it to Peoria on your trip east, it's spectacular!
