Redline oil source
« on: April 12, 2009, 08:39:23 AM »

During my search for Redline oils last week, I couldn't find anyone that sold it around here. Since Redline's dealer listing shows Advanced Auto and Autozone as dealers for "WaterWetter and Diesel Fuel Catalyst only", I went to both stores to see if they could have oil delivered.

The people at Advanced Auto didn't even know what Redline was so they weren't interested in helping me.

Autozone said five people called him last week looking for Redline Heavy Shockproof but his product catalog only listed those two items. While I waited, the manager called Autozone's corporate office and explained this to them. He said the response to his phone call was positive and they're looking into carrying their complete product line now.

If Redline can't get into two of the largest auto part stores in America, they must have a terrible marketing division...

Local Harley dealers sell it around here.

This website looks like a good source for Redline. I like the powerpack idea.

My point of the post though was to let you guys know that Autozone could very well be a new (convenient) source for Redline oils. I was kinda hoping that some of you would help this happen by contacting Redline or by calling your local Autozone stores.

Check your local independent shops, that's where I get mine.

Have sold nothing but Red Line driveline lubricants for amost 15 years.
Even used to be featured in their advertising splashes for our race track use of the product.
Works great.

I checked Racerparts Wholesale against Summit, and Racer parts prices are lower by a couple of bucks a quart.

Also note that the primary chaincase on 09 touring bikes- (not sure about other models), take a minimum of 38oz(1124ml) of fluid (45oz or 1331ml if you have removed the primary cover)- so if you buy one of those powerpacks, you will need to buy two quarts of primary oil.
