tuner help please
« on: April 14, 2009, 04:36:56 PM »

Hey Guys,

I have an 09 SERG and just got a non catalyst head pipe that I am going to get Jet Coated and then will install it along with D&D Fat Cat slipons. I also am going to install the Heavy Breather kit part# 29253-08. I will then need to have it dyno tuned and that is where my question comes in. What tuning device do you all recommended. I had a SERT on my old bike but had problems finding a good tuner in the MD area. I currently have a unopened SE Pro Super Tuner part#32109-08A with all cables and DVD's but not sure if I want to go that route and struggle trying to find a tuner again. I have read a bunch about the TTS system and that sounds good as well but I don't have any experience with it.

Can anyone recommend a good tuner in the MD area that is really good with either one of these tuners? Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

How far are you from Johnstown Pa? There is a great tuner named Brian Beckley at Zepka Harley Davidson that is well versed on the TTS Tuning System along with the SERT [I don't believe they want to deal with the ProTuner anymore] but it would be worth the trip up there. Zepka also sells the TTS Tuners.

Zepka's is in my back yard and I've heard their tuner is the best in our area. I can't speak from experience though.
