Speaking of customer service, my Progressive 440 shocks started leaking again and I called them to get an RMA to have them rebuild under warranty.  Complained to them that this was the second time on the left shock and first time for the right side.  I asked them if I should have ordered the HD instead of the STD shocks, but they confirmed STDs were correct for my bike and that I needed to readjust my settings as the shocks develop leaks if settings are too soft (bottom out) or too stiff (rebounding) which results in excess wear on the internal seals.  They told me that they would send me a new set overnight at no charge and I just had to return the old shocks when I received the new ones.  With that deal I asked if they could send me the chrome version vs. the black powder coated ones I originally ordered and I would pay the difference.  They told me no problem and NO CHARGE again.  I have had these shocks for almost five years, so while the leaks have been annoying, I have to say Progressive stands behind their product.
