I saw in US that you have a small ring at the screw to turn it per hand , in germany we have to take a screwdriver and do not have a ring there .

Yes. No one knows why, but it seems to be a German issue. We've discussed this several times before, but could not find the reason. The funny thing: On my '07 SERK I have added hard bags, and they came with the U.S.-style fasteners. Go figure.

By the way the fasteners are called "DZUS".

Ride safely,

Carlos, Do you have the part number available? both the parts men in the Dealerships near me insist that the SE bikes use the same pins as always, I would love to prove them wrong again.

It's not a German issue, Louis - it's HDI.   In '07 on my Cuse2, I ordered the pins - I think they are just Dzus fasteners - from the US with the D-rings on (by the way, HDI bikes used to come with the D-Rings too!) and I couldn't get them to connect to the clips - compared them, and they are shorter!

Took the D-ring off them and put them on the original pin, problem solved!  ;)
