Last weekend while I was in Los Angles attending a RLAP class, Melanie (sgchick here) took a 60 mile jaunt to Vallejo from our place in the S. F. Bay Area. At the HD shop there her bike wouldn't start and two of her gauges didn't function. Being over 400 miles away, I felt kind of helpless, especially when I found out she had to tell the two HD mechanics how to remove her Corbin seat. Luckily she finally got ahold of Jim, hd dude.
He stooped what he was doing, drove 35 miles, picked up her bike and took it to his shop. Her daughter came and picked her up. A BIG relief for both of us. Jim found out it was one of the 3 ignition wires behind the housing had slightly backed out.(possibly due to my last dismantel).
Cost of towing, diagnosis, repair: $180.oo (CHEAP)
Peace of mind: PRICELESS
Many thanks to Jim, his family, and staff.
Everyone should have a "Jim"
