Left hand turn got me

Had a truck pull out in front of me to make a left hand turn, never saw me. I tried to avoid it by swerving to the oncoming side of traffic, but they speeded up.  I hit the front fender and bumper, My helmut has white paint on it, I don't remember hitting the ground, just thought it was funny that the fire/ paramedics and cops where all there instantly, lol. I'm lucky, they said the trucks front end was wasted, ripped the bumper and grill right off, and thank god for the highway bars. bike is pretty bad, but I've been talkin bout a new paint job lately, carefull what I wish for. Me, I am hurtin all over, but no broken bones, very sore knees and concussion.

Still a little dazed, getting knocked out really makes you feel stupid. Wrecking your bike also is a humbleing experience, Looks the the driver got a DUI, according to my friends that were there. I got some really good pain pills outta the deal, and am currently enjoying the couch. The lesson I just got is, no matter how good you think you are riding, sometimes doesnt really matter, playin it thru my head over and over, I had no chance what-so-ever of gettin out of this one. At least, nothing serious health wise, black and blue all over is all, Which is going to be the new color scheme going on my bike if they dont total it, (I dont think it is) but have seen a few bikes get totaled that I would of never guessed would be.

No doubt being the big, tough guy you are helped the encounter with the truck and pavement a bit. I'm glad to hear you were not seriously injured and new bikes are coming out soon!  :2vrolijk_21:
