Bub 7 vs. Monster Oval Slip-ons
« on: April 19, 2009, 09:34:51 PM »

Help...trying to decide between Bub 7 and Monster oval slip-on's for my 09 SEUC.  I have heard good things about both, but my primary interest is in which is quieter.

Roger,I had both versions of the Bub 7,way too loud and didn't sound as good as the Reinharts, the monster ovals are a bit quieter,I had them on with true duals at the time so with the factory header I expect they be quieter still.Hope this helps.

Had the Bubs slip on both 08SERK and 08SEUC to start with, took off the RK and installed 251 cam & RH true duals (sounds right now), the Bub's are louder than the RH or a different tone that seems to make it seem louder,  did not like the space between the side cover and the left side RH pipe, went with V & H TD Header pipes and kept the Bub's, helped the right side loudness, but still pretty loud, have ordered  2" Fullsac baffles, due in on Thursday, pipes are ready for the install, if this does not work will be installing RH's

I put the Monster Ovals on my 2008 SEUC.  Nice low rumble at idle and not bad when really on it, but they seem to get louder in the 2400-2800 RPM range when you're just on it a little maintaining speed.  The Bubs I've heard seem to be louder and harsher.  I'd describe the MOs as a lot like Reinharts without the harshness.
