Better than expected i love this bike
« on: April 25, 2009, 09:57:57 AM »

Well i got it yesterday and was able to do about 300 km on coastal roads and highways around west coast of Turkey. So far its the best touring motorcycle I ever rode.In my opinion it gotta be the best bike period.Didnt exceed 3000 RPM yet but i am quite impressed with the endless torque.By the way thats out of the box performance i cant wait to get rid of the cat and muffler change. It handles incredibly well.T o remind you i sold my godwing to partially pay for this one so in my humble opinion it handles at least as good and maybe  better than my wing.I never get used to the wing anywas so most of the time i was riding my Fatboy.I was waiting for this bike for a long time some of you might remember my profile info was like Buying SE Roadglide for at least last 3 years.I am very impressed with this bike over all.I rode beemers, wings, and all of the harles touring bikes but this one is very nice. Please understand my amazement because for a very long time MOCO wasnt sending any roadglides to europe so i never actually rode one before i got my own.It fits like a glove.Only bad thing so far maybe the lack of a proper windshield but full face helmet came handy until i get my CV.I should also add that i already decided to go with hawgwired and ordered lowers and kingpac. This should be the end of the discussion about harley vs other tourers. In automotive terms this bike looks like a 50s caddilac that can handle like a 2009 porche lol. :drink:

I'm happy you have finally got your dream bike. I do remember the past few years when the new models were announced you would hope for the RG. Your dream came true. :orange: :huepfenjump3: :bananarock: :bananarock:

300km on coastal roads and no pictures of your country. SHAME on you!! :huepfenlol2: :worthless:

Yes it was a 2005 gl1800.I never liked the mid controls and seat wasnt comfy it made me sweat a lot and kinda rashed my ass on hot days.Probably because of all those stiches and patterns on the seat.I bought it for temporary use didnt want to spend a forune on a harley until i was gonna get what i really wanted. :drink:
