T bars

I have a 06 SE2, Big Radius Pipes. I'm thinking about T- Bars, and looking for thoughts
on which ones. also can I keep the tach without a wiring mess? My goal is a higher bar.

I am not sure what you mean by T bars, but I know that if you go to a higher bar your going to have to consider the internal bar wiring to your turn signals, you may also need a longer brake and clutch and idle cable.

SE2/Scott,

I had some T-Bars custom made because of the stock tacho mounting. I was worried about the cables & hoses more so than the wiring (the wiring has to be cut either way so lengthening them if need be is not a problem)Took me about 8 hours (& a few beers) to change the bars  as it turned out I could have gone a bit taller as I have brake & clutch hose to spare even after fitting 2 inch longer fork tubes (stock softail length) I will take some photos & post them later. It feels alot more enjoyable to ride with the T-Bars & with the front up abit & the rear raised 3/4" it even goes around corners without sparks flying!

Cheers [smiley=drink.gif]

TunedSE2,

You can keep your wiring and stock cable lengths with t-bar or drag bars as long as you don't go over a 7" rise I'm told.  I installed a set of 1.25" with internal wiring, 6" drag bars and relocated the tach higher without extending any cables.  The only wires that had to be extended were the tach wires, there is only 3 and they only needed a couple extra inches.  Check out my pic and you can see what it will look like with the higher mounted tach and drag bars. You can keep turn signals on the bars also.  I bought the tach mount from carlini's. The bars are drag specialty fat bars for $149 versus H.D. slammers for $350.
