Harley Davidson D 407 Rear Tire
« on: April 25, 2009, 02:38:00 PM »

2007 FLHRSE Harley Davidson D 407 rear tire change out due to delamination of Dunlops layered construction. Hopefully, this is an isolated problem with a single tire, however, in the past it has meant a bad batch of tires are out there on the road. Some of the ride characteristics of the D 407 delaminated tire are; soft in the corners and hard to hold your angles in the twisties. Somewhat similar to having a blown shock

I have a 3 year wear items warranty from the Dealer, tech swapped tire out immediately Dealer will notify Motor Company who I imagine will notify Dunlop. In the past, I have had 2 Dunlops delaminate (Honda Valkyrie) and the regional Dunlop rep replaced the tire however, the labor was on me.
