So far I only know about me and you having problems. Unless Harley gets a lot of calls there will be no recall.

I had my 08 SEUC seat replaced because of the poor vinel/leather coming off seat along the stich lines. A war but the Moco finally replaced it.

Ride safe and keep us posted.

I have just over 5000 miles on mine and so far no problems.

Just looked again today and what do you know..... looks like its just getting started. Shame too because I really like the way the seat feels (even though its butt ugly).

There won't be a recall for a seat anyway. If they never called the 110 fix  "recall" there ain't no hope for a torn seat!  :P

Mine has a small tear in the same area before I even took delivery. Dealer has ordered a new replacement seat and tells me it’s in. I just need to get by there for the exchange.

The dealer shipped out my new seat today. Unless they made some change to the seat I'm sure the new one will rip again. I'll keep everyone posted.

well, my story isn't a happy one. my dealer has been working with the factory, for three weeks and still no solution. sent them the pictures of the seat. and they have not decided to replace the seat. i know of four SEUC 4 owners, who have had this problem. half had luck with the factory, getting a new seat and the others waiting on a solution. i'm getting really pissed and won't wait to much longer. by the way, when it starts, the rip does keep getting larger. i have put duck tape on it, to try to slow it down. the most expensive bike offered and they want to jerk me around. okay, i've vented

I understand. It amazes me that people sit by, mainly the ones that didn't shuck out 35k for a MOTORCYCLE, and say we are "whining" about our bikes like perfectionists. I'm sorry, but if I spend this kind of money, I understand things will go wrong, but I fully expect the company (MOCO) to fully stand behind it. Especially when there is a common "glitch" such as this.

I don't have an '09 SEUC, but I do have an '08. I did shell 35k plus for my bike and my seat had to be replaced once for irregular leather wear along the stitching edge.
I will wash my bike tommorow and I will look to see if it is tearing anywhere. I agree, if you pay 30-40k for a motorcycle and the bike is under warranty they should replace anything that goes wrong with it. Period.. Seems to me if the seat won't hold up to a years usage, what's it going to look like in 5-10 years??

more and more people are checking their seats and discovering the glitch. how do we band together and get the MOCO to come clean. their product is flawed. even, no not even, WHEN i get my new seat 9 AND TRUST ME, I WILL, if i have to drive to milwalkie, i will still have to shell out, my money, to take it to a shop and have them put a pad, over the seat pan, so that it won't rip again.

My wife owns a canvas shop. When the seat gets here tomorrow we plan to open up the front and see what we can do to pad or cut back the metal that is pushing through. I will post what i hope will be a fix.

Got my new seat today and it's different from the old one. It has padding all around the front plastic piece that ripped through the old one. My guess is that the new seat will not rip. My dealer said this is the first seat the factory rep has seen. I sent them our CVO site and told him to tell the rep he is full of crap. As I thought the dealer defended the rep. Same old crap.
