Trouble with front rotors
« on: April 26, 2009, 07:46:12 PM »

Is anyone having trouble with the front brake on their SERK, mine feels like the rotors are warped causing the front end to bounce when applied.

Yep, there is a thread on here about it. I have it to. Going to take it in (hopefully) this week. HD says it has to be .008 to replace. Mine are .007 and .008. If thats not enough 10 min and a glass of ice water

Both 08 SE Roadkings sold through our Dealer have had front rotors changed, mine at about 5000 miles, I'm now at nearly 9000 and looks like they'll need to be replaced again

Make sure the wheels get checked.  If the wheels aren't machined properly where the rotors attach, replacement rotors will continue to warp forever.  Not saying that's definitely your problem, but I have heard of improperly machined wheels causing repeat rotor failures.
