I don't think that is a Hayabusa.
I had a Hayabusa.
This looks more like GSXR1000 bodywork and bike.
Puzzled, take a look, I may be wrong but don't think that's a Busa!

Without the body work it does look strange however it is a Hayabusa. 15-18 seconds in is some good shots of the motor. I had to watch that video several times as at first it doesn't look much like a Busa. The tail is from a 99-07 bike. The 1000 looks similar with the exception of the clutch and stator covers.

All the eggs in 1 basket at those speeds for sure!! Would look better with the front fairing though.

My Busa was only a 252 hp bike so I could only imagine what a 490HP bike is like. There comes a point where the bike is stupid fast and just isn't enjoyable to ride. I was on that edge. A quick snap of the throttle and you took the chance of the tire blazing, the back end coming out from under you or you would be looking at the sky real fast. Definitely neat around your buddies but just not practical.

That's the same problem I have with my SEUC.  Once I get up around 200 mph, I have trouble keeping the front wheel down. :alcohol:

silly question, but unless you're drag racing, what's the purpose for all that HP in a motorcycle?  That's a lot of money to invest just for "bragging rights".   :nixweiss:

Small price to pay to ensure that when it's all over, there is no pain and suffering.  I wouldn't last 5 minutes on one of those bikes.

Charlie

That's like asking why people put a 502 or 572 big block in a car.
Or why buy a new Corvette or Viper?
How many of those are raced?

It's the image.
It's all about braggin rights.
For some it's a replacement for other shortcommings and for others it's all about the power.
But you can't use it if you don't have it.

Or need it I guess.  I just don't see the purpose of a motorcycle that can go 3 1/2 the legal speed limit for running on the street.  :nervous: There's the old saying that I always used to tell the hot bike owners when I was on motor patrol..."you can't outrun a Motorola".   :huepfenlol2:

Not starting trouble but I don't see much difference in a bike that can go 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 and I'm sure the jester you ride can do that. We buy cvo's for their resale right......cause I hate it when some one slobbers over mine !!   Its all perspective, If that what he digs not for me to judge.

I don't know if you have ever rode a sport bike like that but they will out run Motorola......not saying its right but a smart rider familiar with the roads, GONE ! LEO's don't stand a chance. Again wrong, wrong, wrong but its a fact 99% of LEO's will not even persue a sport bike if they flee.
