If it were for leisure - probably not.  And not just because of the swine flu potential.  More so because of all the recent drug related violence.  It used to be that action occured out of sight of tourists.  Not so much anymore.  There are lots of places to take a trip.  Why not pick a safer location?  JMO!!   :2vrolijk_21:

I don't think anyone is welcome there right now...  Wrong place, wrong time - bullets from the drug trade don't care where you came from...  Swine flu is icing on the cake....

 Nope I wouldnt go. We have postponed our daughters graduation family trip to Mexico for now. Thinking maybe Disneyland for now and Mexico later!  :)

Bad drivers down there, they pull into the same lane you are in, and when I asked them what they were doing? They just gave me rapid blinking!!!!

I would say ......"park your Harley in any border town and walk across" you will save on the Mexico insurance and have peace of mind.

Used to go there all the time before the kids came along. I didn't mind before, but just not worth the hassle keeping an extreme eye on them. I'll stay with more secure vacationing.

Was in the military in San Diego years ago when Donkey shows were donkey shows and Americans didnt have to worry about kidnappings or all the drug related BS there, Now its looking more and more like what it really is, a 3rd world country with a corrupt policing system, your already at a disadvantage (most are) with the language barrier and not knowing if you can even trust an official is mind blowing. Im not trying to bash Mexico Ive always had a blast every time Ive been their, but their economy is trashed as is ours and they are a little more desperate which will make Americans a target, I would have really thought it over hard 10 years ago, in this day & age I like to live by " buy American, stay american, travel america. Keep what little we have here!     Stay Safe!!
