I had the 550 for about a year.  I was lured into getting the new one and possibly jumped too quickly.  I have not mounted the 660 yet, but...One of the things I liked the most about the 550 is the fact that you do not have to leave the mount on the bike all the time.  The 550 let you use the cigarette plug as a means to power the unit.  This allowed me to take the whole thing off in about 2 minutes.  With the 660 it appears to me so far that you have to hard wire the mount for power supply (either to the battery or into the fairing).  this is a major drawback to me.  if someone has this figured out please clue me in.  Ted

Here was my solution to hard wiring the GPS. I think it came out very clean and you can remove the GPS without having to hide the wires. Everything was purchased from Radio Shack.

very very nice & neat, the 660 as you know, has different mount that stays on the bike,  again great install. :2vrolijk_21:
