On the way I made it through Luther Pass…

Luther Pass (el. 7,740 ft.) is a mountain pass in California in the Sierra Nevada, between the Carson River basin and Lake Tahoe. It is traversed by State Route 89 and lies on the boundary between Alpine County and El Dorado County.  The mountains southwest of Luther Pass form part of the main ridge of the Sierra Nevada, while to the northeast they spur off to form the Carson Range.

And Carson Pass…

Kit Carson Pass, named after the famed explorer Kit Carson, (el. 8,650 ft.) is a mountain pass through the Sierra Nevada range in Alpine County, California. It is traversed by State Route 88. It was the most significant overland route during the California Gold Rush, as well as the primary route for shipping resources from California to assist in the Civil War until the completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad.

From here I would head towards Jamestown, CA and prepare for my trip to Yosemite National Park.  This is a cool area and I should have stayed in Jamestown but I needed to get a few things performed at work on the computer.  The downtown area is ole school which is very cool and worth the trip.

Beautiful pictures!!!!!!  We rode through Tahoe & Yosemite on the Nor Cal tour last Sept. & it was beautiful then.  But w/ the melting snow, it really changes things w/ all the waterfalls & creeks. Can't wait to see more  :orange:
