Took my new RG out today and put it through it's paces for the first time. I cannot believe how much better this bike handles than my 08' RG. Is it just the CVOs or do they all handle this much better? This bike is as heavy as my 07' Ultra but it rolls through the curves like it is on a rail. I hit a curve today that was a little washboarded with way too much confidence and wound up in the next lane. Good thing there was nobody coming. I don't know why I straightened the bike out but I did and got into the ABS. Got slowed down enough to get back into it but only after I was almost to the other shoulder. That experience didn't do much to slow me down as I was into the next one almost as hard. This bike reminds me of my FJR 1300. I no longer have that bike because it always cried out to go faster and push it in the curves. I guess I will have to settle down but it is hard when you have that beast between your legs. T.

I went through the same thing with my GL1800... that thing had so much power it'd lull you into complacency... and before you knew it, your were rolling into a curve @ 80 and chitting bricks... lol

I look forward to putting my ESERG through the paces in a couple weeks!!!

I also have to slow me down , everytime i pull the throttle , this monster-scooter is so amazing , it`s pure fun , was worth to buy it .

The bike is amazing and I'm finding it will handle curves, etc. better than I do. And speaking of amazing, have you done the exhaust and tuner (dyno tune) yet? Be ready to  hold on.

NO I only have 300 miles on it. I am going to put the 2" baffles in this weekend and take out the cat. I am getting used to that exhaust and am not really sure I want to take the baffles out. What I may do is buy a used set of stockers and keep them around in case I want to go quieter someday. As far as existing power, I think it has adequate amount now but I can't turn down more if I can get it as cheaply as some say. T.

With the extra hp of the 110 and the smooth ride of the SERG, it is easy to come into a corner too fast if you are not paying attention. IMO, the ABS takes a little getting used to also. I am still on the fence as to if I like the ABS or not. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your SERG!

I don't think brakes in a curve is a good idea. Brakes tend to make the bike straighten up, which you don't want going into a curve too hot. After the initial realization that I'm too fast and too late to slow down, I usually throw the bike harder into the curve (hang on) and use more power on an as-needed basis. Crossing the centerline on a curve can get you killed...

I notice a big difference between my 04 EG and this 09 SERG, but in fairest to HD, the standard 09s ride just as good, in fact they are so smooth, a buddy of my had ordered an 09 SERG, and decided to keep his 05 because he felt he just did not get enough "feedback" from the 09, I think he just won't admit he has got "attached" to the 05,  now we just have to "hope" the issuers with the 110 motor have been resolved, and by the way, within 24 months I think we have seen the last of the air cooled motors.

I agree it is way easy to go into a corner on these bikes way to hot.  You just do not realize how fast you are going on this.  Wife is always getting on to me for running to fast down the roads when she is following me, she never said that about my Fatboy.  I also notice I am taking the curves on roads I am familiar with faster on the SERG than the fatboy.

I hear you, speeding tickets are my biggest worry.  I find my self always over the limit on this bike, and not just 5 mph over.

People are always asking me if the new Ultra handles better than my old Fatboy. I've been telling them that the Fatboy always had vibrations over 70 mph. That and not having a windshield made it feel like I was doing 100 mph. The Ultra will run so smooth at 100 mph that it feels like 55 on the Fatboy

And at the traffic lights , i find me opening the throttle to blame the rice-cookers , Muhuhuhahaha , that`s really nice , because they do not think about that .

My SERG is so fast, I have to leave home 30 minutes after I plan to be there.
