1/34" or 2" header on 09 CVO 110?
« on: May 07, 2009, 06:46:10 PM »

I  currently have a stock 09 cvo 110.
Debating between 1 3/4" or 2"  header pipes for my new exhaust. This thread has covered this indirectly, as it would seem that the 110 should benefit from the flow of a 2" header, however I have read threads where owners had wished they would have stayed with 1 3/4" , after dyno testing. Would a 2" stepped header provide back pressure while still improving overall flow within the system? The only motorwork scheduled for this season is a cam swap, wich would be a simple bolt in, SE 211 or Andrews 32h.
Thank again for the education

Layne,

Given your 96" displacement, cam selection, and other planned mods you will do better with the smaller diameter head pipes. There are many larger displacement motors that perform quite well with the 1 3/4" primaries. I ran both on a 120 build and gained a bit of top end HP with the larger primaries but sacrificed some low end torque. Stick with the 1 3/4".  :2vrolijk_21:
