What I don't understand is why John's son Andrew didn't buy the business.

I guess financing would have been the big hurdle.

But FWIW both John and Andrew ran a first class operation and unless Andrew stays in charge I see changes coming for BushTec.

That was my exact same thought Chip.  I figured that Andrew would eventually own the business by outright purchase or financing at some point.  I'm sure that Andrew remaining as GM was part of the deal though and hopefully, he will have enough time in the deal to make his mark. I'm sure that right now, financing would have been a stretch at best.  Still, it is hard to imagine that the sale had to take place right now unless the offer was overly attractive.

I remember when John bought Bushtec here in Calif and decided to move it to Tenn (or is it Kentucky?), increase production, etc. etc.  Everybody was saying "well, there goes the customer service......there goes the quality".  History repeats itself. :)

What I don't understand is "if" they wanted the son to have the company, they could have been the bank.     :nixweiss:

Hard to tell, maybe the economy or a bank forced a sale......

Nope, but it looks pretty good.    :2vrolijk_21:   And, you have one uncluttered garage.

Dave-

When we finally hook up, you'll have to see if you like the rear bumper on mine to cover up the remaining part of the Bushtec hitch that can be seen when the receiver hitch is off.   Bob

But give him enough time on CVOHarley and we will fix that problem.

Without.

Look may not be for everyone but I don't like to look at the hitch.  The V rail commonly used still lets the hitch be seen since it's open.  2Lane has the Streetglide fascia on his SEEG2, but I'm too cheap, but it looks the best.
