Corbin Seat ????
« on: May 10, 2009, 09:21:31 AM »

OK guy's we all know that there are not a lot of options for seats for our FXSTSSE Bikes. I have personally called Donnie Gray's, Phipp's Custom Saddles, along with others of the internet and then Corbin. Inquiring about a solo seat. Something that looks good and is more comfortable than what came stock form Harley. I know there was some negative posts about the Corbin seat a few months ago. When I ask Corbin about this.....they had know idea that a problem existed. Was there a true problem??? And so far the other seat company's have not built a seat for these bikes. I guess it's not enough supply and demand to take the time and make. I have a Corbin two up and solo seat for my Roadking and love them. I just wonder about one for my FXSTSSE. Any input would be appreciated......Jeff

Try Lepera solo, good fit, better than the brick that came on the bike.

I might look into them. the only thing is the glossy finish. To me it looks cheap. I wonder if they have other leather finishes ?

I use a Mustang Wide for Touring and can honestly say I've never sat on a more comfy seat.

For cruising around town I had C&C custom seats build me one: http://www.ccseats.com

Looks great and is comfy enough for day trips.

I've got the Corbin solo and it rides and looks great. I didn't think I would like it at all, but seeing it on the bike solo sold me. I also have the passenger pillion but only install it when the wife wants to ride. I can get a couple of pictures it you want, just let me know. :2vrolijk_21:

Do'nt order a Corbin seat from corbin.I ordered one yesterday from their site on line that was supposed to be one of their discontinued web specials for $199.00 and was confirmed at that price. What happens today I get an invoice from them for $429.00. I have one on another bike of mine that I like very well .but I am not going to go for the bait and switch.

I know what you mean. I have a two up and a solo on my Road king. And Love them both. After I had my Bike custom painted I did not want to put the two up seat on because it has the black and chrome studs.(Does not match with custom paint job) So I order the pillion attachment to the solo. It took the a month to get it to me and it was supposed to have been in stock when I ordered it. At least thats what they said when I talked to them on the phone. I hate to say it but they are headed down hill. As mush as I have liked their seats on my Road king. I might have to give some other company a try next time.

Me too (heated).

When ordering, Corbin asked my height, weight, and inseam.  Fits like a glove.

what is the model number of the LePera seat you have?  the web site is not very specific.  Has anyone tried and been happy with a gel pad on the stock seat?  there seems to be a very limited number of accessories overall for the FXSTSSE.  I seem to have the same issue with most places I check for, the response is usually 'for the softtail right? when I tell them specifically the screamin eagle the can't guarantee it'll fit
