And just then, I heard my dear wife calling out, in anguish. So I had to go rescue her. Turns out she was hungry and bored, so I didn't have time to explore the caves. But,.... I would have.... given time. I think there was some non-Harley stuff in there....  :-\  probably not very interesting...

Wow!  Great collection of photos.  I just returned home from my adventure.  After leaving Eureka Springs, I somehow landed myself at bike week in Myrtle Beach for a few days, and then I shifted to Maggie Valley to meet up with my HOG chapter, with a grand finale ride through the Tail of the Dragon.  At the end of this, I'll provide a link to a slideshow of all the pics I took, but first I need to ramble as usual.  I had a great time meeting up with everyone and finally getting to put some faces with the names.  What a great bunch!  As I'm playing a little catch up here, I don't know if anyone explained that I broke down on our Sunday ride and needed a starter for my bike.  A special thanks to Bubba for letting me use his SUV and trailer to get my bike to Pig Trail Harley for repairs.  I didn't notice any pics of my bike when I dropped it in a ditch, just prior to finding out it wouldn't start.  For that I'm appreciative, or is it that nobody thought quickly enough to catch that one on film?  I got to spend a night at LarryB's in TN and I'm not sure if he or his wife was the most entertaining of the two, but it certainly was a visit I was looking forward to and I'm happy I finally made it there.  Larry, next time I'm bringing the burgers!  I shared a room with Ditch, and what a great guy.  I hope that you have gotten things straightened out with the storm damages, and it was great that you were able to make it for a few days.  I got the chance to see Fuzznuts, Hoist, HDBrad03 and wife Val again, after meeting them in York last month.  I suppose I could go on and on about each person, but the overall is that we've got one big happy and friendly family in this forum and I can't wait to get together with everyone again.

As for the photos, I just threw the entire trip into one slideshow, which we'll all find out shortly whether I'm technologically capable of making it work or not.  Just to explain what you are seeing, we'll start in LarryB's garage with our bikes, then to Larry's secret stash fridge...then to some shots around the hotel and the wedding, a few shots of the Ozark Mountains and then some shots of the Smoky Mountains...then a few shots from Myrtle Beach...then some shots of my HOG Chapter in Maggie Valley, some street shots of Cherokee, NC.  There are a few photos taken showing the woods, and if you look closely, you'll see that I was taking a pic of a bear cub eating berries in the woods at a rest area in NC or TN (I don't even know where I was at the time).  Then on to Deal's Gap at the end of the Tail of the Dragon run, and finally some more photos of the Smoky Mountains.  Okay, now let's see if this link will actually work.

Actually, I think if you just click on this link, it will probably come up with larger pictures going directly to youtube:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r65xzFjgnZw

I think it worked.  From looking at it though, I think the bear photos were missing, so here's the best one of those.

I have been trying to get my pics off my phone all week and I am sorry to say it looks like my usb hookup is dead. I will try to bluetooth them off when I get time.

I have to repeat what an awesome time it was meeting everyone and want to thank Don again for bringing it all together!!!

One of my sons and my two granddaughters came up from Tulsa to meet my wife and I Sunday for Mothers day (I rode in the am and they did the "Town thing") My two granddaughters (4 & 2) have officially renamed me "PAPA T" so I am going to retire my 15 year old screen name TATATNT as it is easier to explain what PAPA T means.    Ask "Starman Dave" about screen name mispronunciations.......lol.

It was really great meeting everyone and if I remember half of everyones two names I will be doing good!!!! Arkansas was wonderful and I am sure I will ride down there more often now!!!   Looking forward to meeting more of ya'll soon!!!

Great slide show Dave! It was great meeting you and I'm sure glad the starter deal worked out so well. Really nice of Bubba to help out like he did but that's what Harley folks are all about......  :2vrolijk_21:
