harley's future models
« on: May 12, 2009, 01:54:18 PM »

has anyone herd of this.   We were told by Simi Valley Harley in CA that Harley was not going to make roadglides anymore. Also they were going to cut out some other models so as to streamline their production.  I think this is pure nonsense.  anybody here of this

Check out this thread - NO Road Glide for 2010. Willie G's poolboy told me they are going to call it "Tourglide" next year. :D :D

I started the first thread on this, I think a RG will be offered, but not in it's current configeration, perhaps spl. order, tough times are a coming, & the days of every model and color setting on dealers show rooms IS OVER.  :nixweiss:

  :( :( :( :(

Yes, it appears to be true.  One of my riding buddies tried to order the FLTR two weeks ago for an early August delivery.  Not a valid model and no apparent replacement.
Thus, he ordered an Ultra with one of the unique colors (yes a 2010).

Guess we will have to wait until mid July to know the truth.  He was told however, that the Roadglide riders would have a bike that they would be happy with.  "Tour Glide"  Ultra Glide"

Who knows?

The Tour Glide was the name given to the bike WAY BACK WHEN it was first introduced. Harley is cutting a lot of models (6) form the line up BUT they are introducing more models this year then they ever had in one year in the history of the MOCO. Dealer meeting is July 24th and 25th ( I think that is what I was told) in Denver.

The FLTR is history, but there will be a version of the roadglide available for sure, the Last time I saw Wille G on a motorcycle it was a Roadglide, they are dropping the FLHT as well but there will still be EGC's and Ultras.

The Tour glide would make a lot of sense to me.
Roadglide randy had a tour pack and Cb installed on his 09 SE and it cost a lot of money. The shop had to custom make some of the parts just to make it work.
