On Saturdays ride on the Cherohala Skyway the back end of the bike kept wanting to come around when setting up for a turn.  I found out why!
 :'(

Also made todays ride home a little scary!

I'm holding my head low and I'm feeling guilt for not. Realy was looking forward to it and should of planed it a little better and arrived earlier in the week. Have been real busy at work lately and was kind of run down and with going to Indy Wed I just need to rest a little this weekend. That NOAA weather & Underground weather were way out of wack as Sat & Sun were forcasted with 80-90% rain thru out the weekend, with 25 mph wind gusts Sunday. Like you said sometimes you just have to go for it. Next time for sure.  :2vrolijk_21: You didnt miss me anyway.  :-\

Good Howie, thanks for entertaining Bubba!!  This morning he asked me if I knew where Good Howie and Bad Howie lived and could he come see you both after he played with his friend next door!  I think y'all have a friend for life!  Robert just wanted to go back and find "Dave" to see if he needed a home and ask Jock for a ride on his "dirt bike!"

It was great seeing everyone again and meeting new friends!  As always, "You'll never meet a finer bunch of folks!"

First I would like to thank HogBreath for his invitation to his 3rd Annual Rib Fest!  Having never been fortunate enough to attend the first two if given the opportunity again in the future I will do my best to be there again.  Thumbs up!!!

It’s funny how things work in life…I thought I had no chance to attend this event given certain conditions in my life however there is was…In addition, the weather when I first looked at it was no looking great.  However for me it rained on the last mile and it was weak.

Another note…has I have posted already it was my anniversary and this was my spouse’s first event of many type relating to bikes after 28 years of marriage.  But there were others there that had some celebrating to be performed…HogBreath, our host and all around good guy award, was celebrating a birthday that was little known to the others….shhhhh…a secret I guess.  Another anniversary was being celebrated by Hoist and Binx!  If memory serves me properly I believe it was six special years for my New York friends and it was great to see them again.

Since I arrived on Friday afternoon I was unable to participate in the rides for the day.  However I did have the chance on Saturday to join in after I was beaten and flogged as a NON-HD Rider!  I was forced to ride in the back of the pack and was not allowed to park my bike near any other HD!  When fellow HD riders performed the infamous wave I was instructed not to look at them or even acknowledge them.  Good thing they did not caught my friend Tbone and his secret wave to me…Thanks man I needed that!

While it was Saturday morning and for the fair weather riders there was some concern.  I must admit I was expecting rain and had no issue riding in it.  (That’s the blessing of riding the KLR, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT CLEANING IT)

As in any good pre-ride it is important to fully check out the conditions of the bike and the equipment on it.  Since hard10 was forced to be on a loaner bike, a 2009 Road Glide, Hoist was generous enough to ensure that the GPS was functioning properly.  As you can see we have several members of the site attending this continuing education class.  By the way this was at no charge to the group.  Yet another reason to attend these great events!
