Deer Meat
« on: November 04, 2005, 09:58:55 AM »

Almost had a eight pointer with the seeg this morning. He was on a dead run right for me as I was heading to work at about 40 mph. I pulled in the clutch and got ready to brake when he did a 90 degree turn about 15 feet from me. Man that  got the heart pumping!!!! Keep a sharp out out for those son of guns! I think the rut season is almost done here in a week or so.

Glad you hear you only had to change your shorts and not anything else.  You're right about the rut being over soon.  The peak rut ends next week.  They should calm down a little.  Had a similar experience myself recently only it was at dusk.

FYI, I'm originally from Western PA and know what you're dealing with.  Ride Safe.

Had a similar incident last week with a Chicken Hawk! He got within 3 feet and realized I wasn't a Screamin" Chicken and pulled upward. I now carry a shoulder holster like the terminator used and I'm ready for Hawks, Deer, Flying squirrles, Moose, rabbie Dogs, and wreckless cagers!
