Best Seat for Passenger

I currently have a Corbin Dual Tour seat that I LOVE unfortunately it is not comfortable for my wife.  This really has come apparent now that I have the Platinum Air Suspension unfortunately I having a very hard time getting the suspension dialed in and feel EVERY bump in the road.  Well that is all it took for her to finally tell me that the seat was very uncomfortable for her and has been since I put it on and I realized I needed to do something different.


I would Appreciate some feedback on what seat your ladies like and also how you like it.

I will be selling this seat once I make a decison on a new one I will list it here first - I would keep it but I know that I would not switch from the new seat back to the corbin in fact I have the OEM seat in the corbin box on the shelf and I guess I will sell it also.

Changes wife's until you find one that fits the seats and doesn't whine. worked for me.

I rented a 09 ultra on vacation. After that long ride my wife wanted a new seat so I put on a 09 Ultra seat. Went for a long ride this weekend she loved it and so did my butt. :orange:

The seat that I found that is best for the passenger is either a dining room chair or recliner.

I've had a Mustang "Pillow Look with Buttons" since 96 and this is the third bike its been on now and she has been very happy with it. For me all of the stock RG seats have been fine. I don't know what happens to women but when we were dating she was ok with the King/Queen on that hard tail.   ...go fugure. :nixweiss:  Doc

Thanks Doc,

I ordered a Mustang #79127 - Smooth Solo with Driver Backrest Only and also a 13.5" pillion for my wife.  I looked at all seats and read lots of reviews on this site and hdforums and finally decided to go with what most folks said worked really well for them.  By far Corbin and Mustang were the 2 top choices and since I have the Corbin - I figured I would try the Mustang.  I really have no complaints with the Corbin now that it is broke in - the first 2000 miles were a little rough on me but now the Corbin fits like a glove.  I would keep it but I know that it would sit on the shelf in my garage just like the OEM seat I took off when I put on the Corbin on.  It's not doing me any good on the shelf so why not let someone enjoy it.

One really cool feature is now I can ride with the solo seat and add the pillion when my wife rides.  I eventually wanted to get a solo seat anyway.  It's funny reading reviews how many seats we go through to find the right one.  I hope my wife likes the Mustang most reviews I read said the passengers liked them.
So in a way it is a win-win I get the solo seat and my wife get s a more comfortable seat for her.  :huepfenlol2:

You cannot go wrong with a Mustang.  I put a Mustang One piece touring w/ rider backrest on my Ultra in April.  This seat is miles above the comfort level of a Corbin I used to have on a road glide.  My wife and I put 1500 miles on this seat last week and I got zero complaints.  My bike has a 6 gallon tank and can go about 175 to 200 miles on a tank.  We averaged about 180 miles between stops.  I never had a problem with the Driver seat.  Best seat I have ever owned.  You have to buy the new model.  Mustang made a major overhaul on their seats earlier this year.  The padding is like memory foam.

Only down side to a Mustang is that they are Vinyl. had one that while riding in high temps, I sweated alot.
