Cuse4 - unused connectors
« on: May 25, 2009, 01:25:30 PM »

In the Tourpak of the CUSE4, there are two little unused connectors - on the same cable that supplies the power to the Tourpal LED light.  Anybodu know what they are for?

Dunno what, then - they are strange plugs, and I can't think what accessory you'd want to connect to them.....  :nixweiss:

Take a picture Jim!

Wild ass guess here.  Maybe they are using the intermediate harness like used with the lid and saddlebag LED light kits.  If so the extra two plugs would accept the leads from the LED lights that (if added) would shine down in the saddlebags.  Are they itty bitty two wire plugs with small (like maybe 20-22g) wire?

I think they're for the saddlebag LED lights.  That's what I used them for.

Yup, did the same with mine as well as the rack light.

I think you must have the wrong connectors in mind.  The rack light connects to the socket for the rear Tourpak lights (comes with a Y-piece so you can connect it in, and I wish they sold it separately, cos I could really use one!).  Are we talking about the LED spoilers for the saddlebags?  They connect to a connector under the seat, from memory (unless they've changed them?).

These spare connectors are smaller than any other, and have three wires.

When you say saddlebag LED lights, do you mean "Saddlebag Light Expansion Kit" 54333-04?

From memory they look like that at first glance, but I think one (the red I expect) has a hard to see tracer.

You're right Jim, I was thinking the saddlebag lights under the tourpak, they're the little ones.

Where exactly do they mount, then?  On the underside of the Tourpak, so they shine down into the open saddlebag?
