Request for advice 09 fxstsse3
« on: May 28, 2009, 02:43:41 PM »

Apologize if I missed a post covering this but looking for advice on hardware and map for my bike. Running V-H big radius 2 into 1. I'm used to Mikuni 42's and the dealer isn't up to speed either !  :nixweiss: Thanks in advance. Riverman

riverman,
I moved your thread to intake/exhaust because it appears you are asking for discussion on what hardware to use to tune your bike vs requesting a specific map for that hardware. The board Power Commander, Race Tuner & T-Max !!Maps Only!! is to request a map for a specific tuning device/set up on your bike, and doesn't allow discussion Since you don't have the device yet it appears you are seeking discusion on the best device.

My suggestion in the best tuning device is if you're not doing the tune yourself find someone you trust to do it, and then ask them what device they recommend. Normally the device they recommend will be the device they are most proficient with and comfortable with.

Find a good tuner and the device will find you. :2vrolijk_21:

Sorry about the wrong thread. The problem i have is no tuners exist in my area. Was hoping i could get some advice on hardware and software then work my way thru it with my dealer.

Sounds like you are going to have the dealer install/tune it so I would still start w/the dealer (techs) to see what they are familiar with. Sad to say, but a lot of techs will not want to take the time to properly learn/setup something they are not familiar with.
