bassani slipons
« on: May 28, 2009, 10:47:08 PM »

anyone running bassani slipons? I purchased the four inch slash cut for my 2009 cvo roadglide. I should be getting my bike back today with the 1000 mile service done, cats out, silly looking deflectors off, and the slipons on. I saw the pipes and they look awesome. They seem very well made. Opinions on them would be appreciated.

I like the look of the 4" Bassani slipons except for one thing:  They are too long (extend out beyond the saddlebags too far.)  If they were the same length as the stock slipons, they would look good.

I agree they are a great muffler but just to long............

I have Basani slash cuts (and a power curve) on my SERK...good to go, guess since they came with it I don't think they stick out too far, nothing to compare it to...

I have them on my 09 SERG (took them off my 08 SERK), they fit perfect, length is just right to keep the line with the extended bags. I still have the cat in my head pipes, sounds find but a bit quieter than with the Bassani power curve on the SERK. I have been thinking of getting the new VH Power Duals  pipes without the cat, has anyone tried them?

I just ordered the 4" Slash Scallops today for my SERG.   :)   Can't wait until they get here.   I was also considering going with the Power Duals once I save up the funds for some kind of Fuel Management.   You know its funny that there are so many options out there and we all still end up looking at similar combos.   ;D  :2vrolijk_21:

I've never run the Bassani mufflers but I do have one observation.  Most of the Bassani mufflers I have seen have blued right behind the connection to the headerpipe.  Even on well tuned bikes.  I can't stand pipes/mufflers that blue.
