What?  No shiny tourpack hinges?  You should be ashamed of yourself.

I have the hinges, somewhere...near the exhaust header and sest out in the shop somewhere...I have been looking for a gas charged strut to put in the tour pak to get rid of the little piece of cable that barely holds several hundred dollars teetering on the edge...

Oh I need new fasteners for the hinges, thats what it was......

Why put of something today when I can put it off tomorrow too.. :drink:

I have always heard that if you don't get to it today there's always tomorrow, and if you don't get to it tomorrow....it didn't need to be done.

I've found tying a knot in that cable will shorten the cable just enough to keep the lid from opening to the point of putting pressure on the hinges.  Just remember to occasionally check to make sure the screws at the ends of the cable are tight, or you'll end up with a disaster on your hands.

Best thing for that bag is strips of Velcro to secure it, you can get a roll at Lowe's 3/4" by 12 ft. maybe 5 bucks.
Cut some strips and secure the bag that way.

Those clips are horrible!

I use the supplied clips. They work just fine. PIA at first to get em adjusted. But once they're adjusted, you can just pop the bag on and off easily, without further adjustment. I like this bag. :2vrolijk_21: ;)

I like the idea, but remembered that a knot in any cable is it's weakest point. But if it shortens the cable enough to release pressure, I suppose it's irrelevant.

Scored one today from Zanotti's, $183 plus $16 shipping, Jenni was back ordered and would have had to charge me tax since i am an Ohio resident.

Yeah I used that too, I am going to bring mine to a sewing place and see if they can replace that cord with an elastic band thingy.

Like the one on the Dekker Supreme, not sure if it can be done but I am going to try it.
