You guys know I'd share if I could... ;)

A beer with Don sounds pretty good about now...especially if he stirs it with a totsie pop..

P

Geez, I'd forgot about that.  Whatever happened to the video?

I read something on another site when I was researching adding better horns where a guy actually mounted two horns under the bike, between the trans & starter and the rear wheel.  As long as you seal the connections and point the open end away from road splash, that just might work. ????  It would be out of sight and probably louder than mounting in the fairing.

Jerry

This past weekend we had a Veterans Thunder ride and was checking out the vendors and came across the BEAST air horn. Man that sucker was loud!  :o Suppose to be like 130db. I did not care for the the stainless steel cover and was thinking where I could mount that thing if I got it. I thought of the area on front frame where engine guards connect under up towards tank. Would probably fit there but was wondering about blocking air flow to the front cylinder. Here is the link to the BEAST air horn for around $108. http://74moto.com/eshopprod_cat_1114-8990-9002_product_160682.PRO_PAD_THE_BEAST_AIR_HORN.htm Has anyone ever heard or tried out the BEAST?

Phattey, that really looks good.  One of a kind.  It really opens up the view of the motor.....just calls out for having the fins 'diamond cut', huh?  How'd the horn relocation come out?   :-/  spyder

That is a cool medallion. Is it a MoCo part?

Thanks!

Spydglide....thanks...

Yup I agree...now it must be diamond cut.. ;)

Maybe Santa will help me out on that one.

I'm attempting the horn tomorrow. It'll go under the frame neck, in the crash bar tab. Its a Sporty horn in black...

I'll get a couple better pics tomorrow...

We rode all day today, and got in a little later than planned...just didn't want to stop. I think I have about 30 more horse power with the medallion mod... ;D

That looks slick Ron.  Nice idea.  One other idea short of the diamond cutting though.  Swap the fuel line.  With the greater amount of exposed area the braided line there would likely be a real plus.  Take a look at fuel line 63020-04 along with fitting cover 62800-03.  They look good together and would be sweet with your new emblem.

I had a set of Rivco horns put on at Sturgis. I think they advertise 128db. All I can say is "man, these babies are LOUD".

Did you relocate the horn or go or did you put it in place of the original horn? I like the looks of my air wing horn cover from H-D. By the way, warm welcome to this site! [smiley=2vrolijk_09.gif]
I don't know if you noticed in other threads but around here we want to see it!!!! Sooooo..........  [smiley=worthless.gif]  :) ;D ;D :) :o 8-)

Yup...that's it...

I liked the Paul Yafie(sp?) air cleaner cover with the insert, but the chrome was really bad on all of them( I looked at 5 different ones), thus I bought just the medallion then began pondering...

I go in this week for ALL my warranty chrome replacement stuff - wheels, pedals, inserts, mirrors, covers, etc...

I'll be back to original bling bling just in time for Christmas... [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
