Blowin a little oil
« on: June 01, 2009, 03:05:22 PM »

I noticed on this trip that I was blowing a little oil out the cleaner. It was just like a fine mist on some of the chrome parts. I wiped it off and it didnt seem to do it every day, and I noticed it after gtting on the throttle . This is the first trip we have taken since i changed the pipes and air cleaner and added a PC. THis did not happen before I changed the items out. What could be causing it?

Typically oil from the breathers is from blow by.  That being said, since you recently changed air cleaners, they might have over oiled it.

Mine did the same.  The Stage 1 open breather allows the oil mist.  Dealer can install a drain line.

Check your oil level. No more then half way up to the full hot mark.
