Kuryakyn Crusher Slip On's
« on: June 01, 2009, 06:26:19 PM »

I have a SERG and just completed my 1000 check.

Does anyone have any experiences with the Crusher mufflers? Look great but don't know how they sound.

I want to stay with a 4" muffler so I'm open to any other suggestions.

A lot of people here have kept the stock mufflers, and installed the fullsac baffles including me. They come in three sizes 1"3/4, 2" and 2"1/4. I have the 2 1/4" and really like them sound and performance wise. The other thing you might want to do is either cut your stock headpipe and take the cat out or you can get a stock 96" headpipe and they don't have a cat. You might want to look on the forums, there are a bunch of threads on the headpipes and mufflers. Most bang for the buck has been doing one or the other with the headpipe and fullsac baffles! Good luck.

The only thing I think I know about them is they are manufactured by V&H, when you go through the lookup wizard for their Fuelpak it lists Kuryakyn/Vance & Hines as a possible selection, if selected Crusher is the only option.

Very curious to know what bike and compared to what?  For most HD's which are heavy bikes, we want torque, and torque over a wide range starting at about 2500 rpm.  When you say picked up 19, where?  Over what range?  What were the mods, etc?  Reading here, most agree you lose power, esp. torque with "true duals" unless you've had the head work to go along.

Would you mind telling us the details?  Maybe they really do work...  ;-)
