Removable tour pack fitted but ??
« on: June 02, 2009, 08:51:21 PM »

Hi
Have fitted the removable tour pack on 09 with the relocated CB and Radio arials but cannot refit the filler strips and am left with ugly gap between bags and fender.

Any ideas, solutions

thanks

I had the same issue.  Played around with the washers and got the fillers to fit.  Doesn't line up perfectly, but looks OK if you don't look too close.

From the kit, there were two thickness washers.  I put a thick washer on the top, between the filler and the frame, and two thin washers on the lower.

When done, the fillers are not quite centered between the fender and bags, but looks close enough to me.

I didn't notice you had an 09. Looks like they changed things with the new rear end.

Put it on a shelf in the garage.

Put my amp on the shelf and the radio works same as ever, but I always use a headset, not the speakers.

Did you try it with out them, somebody said you had to put in a overlay harness for the radio to work.

Front speakers work.  Back do not, but then I didn't try to hook them up.  I removed as many cables as I could when I took out the amp, because there is no place to stow them w/o the tourpak.
