Wiring Diagram Radio Conector 27B
« on: June 04, 2009, 05:23:26 PM »

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the radio Connector 27B on a 2006-later Ultra?
I picked out PIN 9 - 10 -20 on the wrong connector when installing the Cell Set,
but forgot to mark the different cables, and now I'm stuck in which to go where og those colors.

My 07 shows 27A plugs into the radio so no 27B. Do you have/need the diagram for 27A (with 24A and 22A)?  Page B49 of 07 manual. Roger

The left Connector on the back of the radio is #27B, The Connector on the right side is #28B.

Great if you could look it up!

9= LGN/V
10= R/O
20= R/O

(Doesn't matter which R/O you put in 10 or 20 - they are interconnected)

when installing the Cell Set

Interesting!  I used the Cellset on a previous bike, but this time I am using the HD Bluetooth module (discontinued, but can be found), which works much better in that it integrates perfectly with the controls for the audio system. What was it that made you go for the Cellset?

I went with it because based on my info (right or wrong) it appeared and does integrate the entire HD system seamlessly with the Zumo and all it's functionality.

Did not like losing the XM radio from the HD and the Zumo command prompts.  Plus, I ride with guys who also have Ultra's and we use the CB quite a bit while riding.  The cell set works great if you don't mind the cord.

You can use any part of the HD system as normal and the cell set mutes the HD for 5 seconds and provides you a GPS prompt or phone if you use it via the intercom setup of the HD system

Even work if the HD system is turned off.

Have had it for quite a while and its great.

However, I hate the cord.

Yes, as I say, I used a Cellset on my 06 CUSE, and it was good. BUT for Bluetooth Cellphone use, you can't beat the HD system. Cellset - or anything else - does not come remotely close. However, I agree about the Zumo - I dislike having it into the aux socket, and would prefer for that to do the Cellset thing, which you can (CellSet, MC/GPS - Harley, pn: 95436rev3 + harness) while leaving the HD Bluetooth module to handle the cellphone.

I would think HD wold come out with a fully compatible wireless solution for all of the HD touring system soon.  Their Bluetooth system is very good.  My buddy on a Muscle uses it for phone and the ZUMO Xm (and GPS) and thinks it is great.
