Here is a picture of mine
« on: November 11, 2005, 09:46:35 AM »

It's not a CVO, but I am very proud of it.

Since this picture I have changed mufflers and reinstalled the saddlbag guards. The paint is the original colors, I just changed the scheme. I liked the paint graphics of the lowers on the ElectraGlide CVO and copied them. I also scalloped the tank, and had the side covers divided with the pinstriping. This gives it a sense of continuity flowing all the way back to the saddlebags. I had the saddlebag lids painted solid. Lastly, I changed the light on the front fender to a "Widows Peak", and had the striping border it all the way around. I also swapped out the fenderbadges for the traditional looking ones that say "ElectraGlide". The Wide White Walls add a nice touch too.

Hey Iron Horse........I'd like to welcome you to the site.  Think I recognize that motorcycle and name from another site that a few of us belong too.......been awhile since you and I were on the net together.

Oh.......and I got to warn you.....you don't have to be a CVO owner to be a member here but if you hang around here long enough..........you will be! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

JCZ,

Thanks for the welcome. I am hoping that by slowly making "My Own CVO", I will avoid the inevitable. However, if they ever reintroduce the SE RoadGlide....

Well instead of waiting for the next CVO RG you could just build your own, that is what I did.  Until then I am happy with the one I created.  Take care and welcome to the site.  This is a great site with lots of helpful folks.  Lke JCZ says even if you sell your CVO bike like I did or never had one they will let you hang around here which is nice.

I read the Subject title and was kind of afraid to open it up, but I figured what the hell I had a 50% chance of it being a woman and if I was right, I would just PM her a picture of mine.

Well I have toyed with the idea of my "winter project"  as changing out the EG BatWing for the RG Fixed Fairing. Some folks say it would be cheaper to just get a Road Glide, but that would take all the "fun" out of it, trying to match paint and design new graphics.

Anyway, I've put that on hold and am now trying to choose between a 6 speed tranny, or head work. I'm leaning toward the 6 speed.

This is a good site. Lots of knowledge.

Welcome to the site Ironhorse!

I have a question, how effective is the jet-hot coating on your exhaust in keeping out the heat?

By the way, is that the Ballona Creek in Marina Del Rey where you took the pic of your cool ride?
I used to ride my bike to the beach on that path as a kid.
