Highway Pegs
« on: June 10, 2009, 12:16:27 PM »

I installed highway pegs to match the passenger pegs on my 09 SERG.  For those who want to go this route, here are the part numbers and prices:

2 Rumble Footpeg Body  51453-09 $106.68
2 Rumble Footpeg Tread 51459-09  $49.90
2 Mount, Flame Footpeg 50351-03  $43.98
2 Screw                      94409-03    $3.98

I already had the billet Highway peg mounts, so I don't have the part number for those.

tcb62,

The HD website does not allow you to search by part number.  These parts are from the "Rumble Collection" and have not shown up on the HD site yet either.  You can go to  ChicagoHarley   There, you can search by part number (and get 20% off).  Good luck!

Just ordered mine from Chicago HD last night.  Replaced the passenger pegs with Rumble floorboards.  Saved 20% from retail.

Here's a pic of the Arlan Ness footpeg mount I used for the pegs I took off the back.  Less than $50 from Dennis Kirk, 1/2 the price of the HD billets mounts, and IMO a little cleaner look. :2vrolijk_21:

I had taken off the mounts from my last SEEG and was going to use those.  I think I like your look better.  Is there a part number for yours, or are they easier to find in the Arlen Ness catalog?

Question about the Arlen Ness peg mounts, I have looked at them before and wondered, did they tighten up solid? Had any trouble with them "spinning" around the engine guard if you push on them with your foot? I have always bought the HD Billet ones because they  have the larger bolt and do tighten and stay tight, but I agree the Ness piece is more attractive.

Thanks.

The Dennis Kirk P/N is H49-599.    They clamp down very solid with no spinning.  About a .01-.02 gap.

This is exactly how mine were ordered.  I thought about relocating the rear to the fron too, but the empty space drove me crazy.

I like this look better. Anything else I need to get besides these mounts to make it work. I am not going to relocate the rear pegs... can't see spending the loot required to put floorboards back there, so I'll be ordering additional footpegs to put up front.

Just the pegs.  The clamps come with all the nuts and bolts you need.  :2vrolijk_21:
