exhaust enhancements with stock 01 SERG exhaust?

IF anyone would care to comment on this, it would be appreciated.

I just rode a few hundred miles with my friend who has a 08 road king 96", with reinhartdt true duals.  His bike has an awsome rumble when he rolls it on, but mild enought for the neighbors when at idle.

My 01 SERG is totally stock and sounds quite lame.  It has alot of power, and gets better mileage then his RK (alot better). My 5 gallons out distances his 6 gallons.

I have the funky shart fins on the back , and dont want to loose them. is there anything that can be done with my current pipes and mufflers and tips tnat might provide alittle more attitude.  without scrapping those components.  Bakes

spock to fulsac today. they dont make anything for the 2001 serg. I guess ill have to look at some slipons if I want to change what Ive got here.

Ive installed several sets off fullsac baffles on similar mufflers, you just have to cut and transplant your OEM  baffle outlet onto the baffle core.

ill try not, it would be nice to change the core and leave the pipes and mufflers intact.

sounds more involved than ill care to do.  i was hoping for a wrench and screwdriver solution, cutting welding, soldering etc .  ill just screw it up. and hvae to end up buying new mufflers!

Has anyone removed the "plug" in the 2001 SERG stock Mufflers?
What were the results?
Better sound & flow?

I removed the plug and it sounded like chit so I replaced it with 5/8 freeze out plugs.
