Iron Butt

Well, tonight 2 buddies and I are leaving Franklin TN for an Iron Butt run to New Orleans and back. About 1080 miles in 24hrs or less. We'll be taking 65 so to Birmingham AL, then on 59 so to Meridian MS, On to Slidell LA on rte 10. then into the Big Easy for Beignet's and cafe Au Laix at cafe Du Monde, should be there by 6am when they open.
We need to check back in Franklin TN by 8pm tomorrow, some other friends and our wife's are meeting us at a local joint.

Take a supply of 5 Hour Energy!  It'll help get you over the hump, but you can still lay down and go to sleep when you need to (no caffene). :2vrolijk_21:

There's no good parking right by Cafe' Du monde (They are open 24hrs), and the Vieux To Do festival is tomorrow right there, so it may start getting crowded by 6am

You may be able to park right across the street.  2 doors down from the Cafe is Voodoo Harley (New Orleans HD small French Quarter store) but they don't open 'till 9am)

If you need any roadside assistance or other help near here, PM me for my ph# before you leave...
