Lug,

Hope you really like the looks of them on the bike.  I had them on the last couple of Road King (Classics) and a Heritage before that for quite a few years.  When the SEEG came I realized the difference was pretty distinct.  Kind of "missed it" in an odd sort of way.  Took me about a month of not having to clean wide whitewalls to realize I liked this a whole lot lazier... um, better.  Hope you got a great deal on tires and get a chance to ride 'em til the whitewalls fly off  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

[size=14]DW's Original Infected Post:[/size]

I saw a Red SEEG at Biketoberfest with WWW tires. It was so bad it made me ashamed. It was parked close to the demo rides and as we stood in line it was funny to watch people point and laugh. I can see no other one item that would make one of these bikes look any worse.

[size=14]What He Meant to Say:[/size]

Gee, I personally don't care for wide whitewalls.

...I had them on my 1997 RK.  Big mistake for me since I am not anal about cleaning...I would rather spend the nice weather riding than cleaning...like today!

I like 'em on certain bikes.  8-) I've got 'em on my Nostalgia, and with the polished SS spokes, make the bike.  But, wouldn't look right on my SEEG.   :oHar!  spyder

I agree. On some bikes they look great. Had them on a RK Classic and loved them. I wouldn't like them on my SEEG but whatever floats yer boat.

Hey Spyder, when you going to get that Nostalgia over 100k? I keep checking your signature and see it hasn't moved in a while.

Hey Laker, I got no excuses, Man.  Just need to ride that scooter more.  Just put a factory remanned engine in 'er.  So she's good to go.  Chromed the inner primary at the same time....always wanted to do that.  Good scooter, been Coast To Coast on 'er.  Gotta ride more, though.  :-[ Har!  spyder    [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

I had a 1998 Heritage Springer in 95th Anniverary colors with white walls. I think they looked good on that bike. Haven't seen them on a SEEG, but I don't think it will look as good. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder or something like that. BTW S100 kicks ass on whitewalls. Well I use it on the entire bike. It makes washing a breeze.

I had white walls on my 96 Road king for a while and loved the nostagic look. I went to 18's and switched to black walls cuz nobody makes an 18" white wall. For cleaning them I found wesley's bleach white to be the best!

Still use the 'Brillo' pads on my WWW's.  8-) Nothin else gets 'um as white unless it's so caustic that I'm afraid of getting it on my ss spokes.   [smiley=nervous.gif]   spyder

hd-dude, what did you notice the most after changing to the 18" wheels?  Other than the obvious looks.  Did it handle differently?   [smiley=confused5.gif]  spyder

Well the looks were the best benefit [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]. There is pics of it in the gallery:http://flhrsei.org/gallery/hddude/DSC04323_sm

As far as the ride is was I bit stiffer (due to less side wall) but it also seemed to be more positive in the corners
