Traded CUSE4
« on: June 17, 2009, 07:23:34 PM »

I have traded my 09 CUSE4 Silver/Blue for a new TRI GLIDE,, Trike, after careful consideration, I felt that the time is right to do so, been riding HD's since 1966, and as long as the Lord is willing, I will continue to ride.
I have been on some heavy duty medication for many years and it is finally started to take it's toll on my body, I am blessed that I am able to do this.
The 09CUSE4 is without a doubt the BEST Harley I have ever owned, just a little too heavy for me at this point, I am excited to get the "Tri-Glide" tomorrow and will report back as soon as I get some seat time.
I realize that the Tri Glide is not a CVO,,,, but I sure enjoy this Forum and will try to SPEND ENOUGH MONEY to get the Tri close to a CVO, FLHTCUTGSE??????? We also still have our VRSCA, and the 06 CUSE.
I would like to thank every member here for all the awesome help that this membership has been with all kinds of questions and issues.
I have posted a thread looking to see if anyone, at this point has changed their CUSE4 seat out, as I would like to buy one for my new Trike, that will be the begining of the tranasition.
Thanks again, and God Bless!!

Mr. D

I wish you the best of luck with the Tri Glide.
I hate you got rid of the Silver/Blue, but what's most important  is to keep riding.
I understand completely your point about how heavy that bike is.
I feel it everyday.
Good luck buddy!

Mr. D, you'll love the Tri-Glide. While it will take some time getting used to, you will have more confidence in the long run. My father, 67, bought one having never ridden a Harley before.
Ride the bike before you decide the seat isn't for you. I took the backrest from my SEUC2 and added it to the triglide. Made all the difference in the world.
Best of luck!

Thanks guys for the kind words, I will try the seat with a back rest, I would like to find a CUSE4 seat though, the Trike is black, I think that seat would look great with the Trike, also I want a heated seat, and I sure was comfortable on the CUSE4 seat.
I'll post pics as I get them, Thanks again,,

Harley is now selling the hammock seat for the CVO Ultras (part #53051-09) but for some reason, it doesn't fit the tri-glide. Maybe it could be modified to fit ?

If it fits an Ultra, it will fit a TriGlide. HD is notorious for mislabeling which parts fit what.

I respect the decision you made, but I would have probably waited one more month...just in case they come out with a CVO Tri-Glide.  Probably not going to happen, but I can imagine that would be one fine ride if they would make one.  Either way, there sure are a lot of options to dress up a Tri-Glide and I think that would be a fun bike to accessorize.

We are leaving for Sturgis on July 31, never would have a '10 in time, thought about trailering my Vrod to ride there,,,I am not a trailer type,,(no disrespect intended) my sons are going and I am going to ride there with them! I gave serious thought to the fact of the 2010, but decided to go with the '09,, as you said, I am having fun accessorizing  the Tri Glide, I rode about 200 miles today, and LOVED IT!!!!VERY DIFFERENT, need to adjust riding style!! Will post pics soon, impressed with the power, 103 works well in this chassis, Very happy at this point. Thanks again to all for the kind words,, God Bless and ride safe.  Tom
